Yuppie Psycho is now hiring!
Game is available for download on Steam for PC/Mac/Linux
Yuppie Psycho, the pixel horror adventure game from publisher Another Indie and developer Baroque Decay, has launched today on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux. BEEP Company has supported Another Indie by providing its English to Japanese localization to the game.
Baroque Decay is known for their previous pixel game ‘The Count Lucanor’ and their team is composed of developers based around the world.
Yuppie Psycho is a terrifying adventure game set inside a great evil corporation in an alternate 1990’s inspired by Lynchian horror and American Psycho’s corporate culture. The game follows main character Brian Pasternack on his first day at one of the world’s largest companies, Sintracorp. But something else awaits for him on his first assignment that’s not expected…
During his unconventional employee orientation, Pasternack discovers what his new job really entails: hunting a “witch” whose powers made the success of the corporation possible in the first place, but who now seems to have returned to torment its employees. Brian meets all kinds of odd characters, escape from terrible creatures, and unravel the hidden secrets of Sintracorp’s dark past and survive with his employment intact.
- Set in a dystopian 90s society, all done in 16-bit
- Sneak around the office and use the elevator to find out what secrets are lurking in each floor with the use of different light methods
- Investigate Pasternack’s co-workers and learn their secrets that you can use to your advantage in the game
- Make decisions carefully as you can choose how the story ends
“Yuppie Psycho mixes the mundane, mystical, and murderous in so many shocking and hilarious ways it’s destined to become a horror classic!” says Iain Garner, director of developer relations at Another Indie.
